- A recent study from the University of Minnesota Equine Neuromuscular Diagnostic Laboratory, as reported by Dr. Carrie Finno, states that Natural Vitamin E may be up to 2 - 2 1⁄2 times more bioavailable than synthetic formulas.
- Bio-available
- Absorbed in to the Kreb's Cycle - the major metabolic pathway
- Pellet form.
Natural E 5,000 provides a highly concentrated source of Vitamin E combined with alfalfa meal (highly palatable carrier) to be used as a daily support when higher levels of Vitamin E are indicated. Vitamin E is powerful antioxidant and works closely with selenium to protect the body from the oxidative stress. Horses are not very efficient in storing vitamin E and deficiency may be accelerated if the diet is deficient in selenium.

Please Note: This product is transitioning from a 1 oz to a 1.5 oz serving size so the bag sizes will be changing as well. The pellet size was increased to make a more stable pellet. The number of servings and price per bag have not changed. See the chart above for more info and what is currently available.

#INGREDIENT GLOSSARY
Vitamin E (Natural): Natural E is approx. 2.5 times more bioavailable than synthetic vitamin E (4,000 IUs natural vitamin E approximates 10,000 IUs of synthetic vitamin E). Most studies/research indicate 8,000 IU’s -10,000 IU’s (or approx. 3,000-5,000 IU of Natural Vitamin E) during/post therapy for immune support. Vitamin E is considered the most important antioxidant and works closely with selenium to protect the body from the oxidative stress of exercise and illness. Found in high amounts in fresh pasture, levels begin to decay the moment pasture is cut for hay. That is why any horse that does not have access to grass, regardless of its activity level or health, would be a candidate for vitamin E supplementation. Horses are not very efficient in storing vitamin E and deficiency may be accelerated if the diet is deficient in selenium.
#FAQS
What is the difference between Natural Vitamin E and synthetic?
MVP: Vitamin E (Natural): Vitamin E is powerful antioxidant. Natural E is approx. 2.5 times more bioavailable than synthetic vitamin E (4,000 IUs natural vitamin E approximates 10,000 IUs of synthetic vitamin E). Natural E is recognized to be better absorbed and pass through blood brain barrier. Most studies/research indicate 7,500-10,000 IUs of vitamin E during/post therapy for immune support.
Will this help with the development of hind end and topline muscles? if not, what would you recommend for a performance horse in heavy work
MVP: Natural E 5,000 provides 5,000 IUs of natural vitamin E per scoop to support normal nerve & muscle function as well as a healthy immune system.
